Unfortunately I had a small emergency to deal with this week, but there will be another version of the Gazetter, updated with some odds and ends lying around, by the end of this week.

I sincerely hope all is well.

Not serious, just a bunch of unexpected little crap came up due to our move and the new school stuff. One thing after another... I swear, if I knew upper middle class was this much a pain in the ass, I would have stayed down a tax bracket.

0.04a - 5 February 2008This version is not the big update, but is basically a cleanup of things from before I started to write up a lot of various things which are still being debated and discussed, which is why it's dated so far back. Consider this version the 'same page' version for now. I'll have another version (0.05a), which will be a more major update for mostly my material, in the next couple of days. http://www.pixelsagas.com/library/files/Icebound_Gazetter_004a.pdf0.05a - 12 February 2008This is an 'oh crap, I got to get this out' version. (Again, the back-dating reflects this). Hate to admit it, but BotCon's news and minor-related projects took my intended time full up. This version includes some of the timeline, racial fluff, etc, that doesn't contradict what's currently being discussed. A more... meaningful update will be coming this weekend. http://www.pixelsagas.com/library/files/Icebound_Gazetter_005a.pdf

0.06a - 19 February 2008This is a more major update, putting in some needed sections to describe the setting and concept more thouroughly (though this isn't yet finished). This is definately a 'brace for it' version, as the next pass is going to start more seriously cleaning up bits and bringing more of what's present in line with the 'core concept'. Yes, the backdating is still in place... http://www.pixelsagas.com/library/files/Icebound_Gazetter_006a.pdf

0.07a - 26 February 2008 Okay, this is probably the last 'new' material update before some major rewrites of what's there. (Which I'm planning for this weekend.) Included in this update, along with bits and pieces, are a more formal write-up for Rime Elves, and needed information on the Order of Pernov. Yes, the backdating is still in place... http://www.pixelsagas.com/library/files/Icebound_Gazetter_007a.pdf

hi guys i'm new here. dave told me you guys were still working on this setting so i came over. i read through the first issue of the gazeteer and it was great. its good to see all those ideas we threw around are starting to gell together nicely. one though i read the part about the hoarfrost host i subbed in when this was on KA. is there any way that can be editted to included that other pertinent rpg info(cha, int, etc)? i'm not that profficent with the stat so i didn't know what to put. can anyone help with that. i think the host would make a great monster/character.

i think the host would make a great monster/character. We've been quietly debating what to do about the Hoarfrost, actually.. it's a neat and fitting entry, to be sure, but it's not quite something that FITS in the campaign guide. What would you think about it being a magazine article, or a 'for download' PDF like DDI?

Just to follow up, the Hoar Frost have been submitted (you've already seen the rewrite) as a article for Phoenix Lore magazine. Like I said, it just didn't fit, as is, into the main campaign guide - but it was near-perfect for a 'featured monster' article.

I was reading the latest update. It seems to bounce back and forth between 3.5 and 4.0...which ruleset is Icebound being written for?

Interesting! Let me know when you've gone Old School and revised this for compatibility with one of the retroclone editions of D&D.
